I have come across this sweet temptation once and needed to try them myself. These cinnamon-sugar Monkey Bread Muffins are truly a sweet temptation and it just doesn’t get easier when baking. It is a perfect recipe, when time is tight or unexpected visitors come by. Only 6 simple ingredients and less than 30 minutes.
They are best when still warm. On the outside they are perfectly crunchy and fluffy on the inside. This is by far the easiest recipe ever and so delicious!
You just cut the dough with a kitchen scissor (See below), dip it in melted butter and coat with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Done! Really simple and really quick.

Duration
- Preparation 10 Minutes
- Baking times 15 Minutes
Ingredients (depending on how many pieces you use per muffin: 6-10 muffins)
- One package store bought biscuit dough
- 100 gr melted Butter
- 100 gr white Sugar
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 1 TL Cinnamon
- 100 gr Powdered Sugar
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Take the biscuit dough and cut it with a kitchen scissor into bite sized pieces.
- Melt the butter in the microwave or in a pot. Mix together sugar, cinnamon and salt.
- Put the cupcake liner on a baking tray.
- Now take piece by piece of the cut dough, dip it in the melted butter, cover it with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and put about 4-5 pieces in one muffin liner. I also made some smaller ones and only used about 3.
- Put the muffins in the Ofen and bake them golden braun about 15 minutes. In the meantime, you can prepare the glaze. Take the powdered sugar and mix it with 1-2 Tbsp lukewarm water. If the glaze seems to soft, use some more powdered sugar. If it doesn’t seem soft enough, use just a little bit more water. But be careful, because it gets runny really quickly.
- Take the muffins out of the oven, wait just a couple minutes to let them cool and top with the glaze. Now they are already ready to enjoy!
